We have been coming here for years and don’t plan on stopping anytime soon! It’s fun, educational, and absolutely beautiful. You can meet countless birds in their rainforest pyramid or anything from a penguin to a stingray in the aquarium pyramid. Dive under the sea in the nautilus, meet dinosaurs, or take a ride on a paddlewheel boat! There’s something for everyone! They also have a water park that’s perfect for people with young children! Moody Gardens

The Bryan museum is a beautifully curated Texas history museum. Although there aren’t many pictures online to tell you what to expect, we can tell you from personal experience, it’s worth the visit! You will find something to interest most everyone in your party. Younger children may be less intrigued but this seems like a great time to mention that ages 6 and under are free anyway. The Strand is where everyone goes for a day out shopping or a night on the town! Walking our historic downtown feels a lot like going back in time. Marvel at the architecture, shop, eat, drink, and be merry! Downtown is the place to be!

The Moody Mansion is a prime example of the beauty and splendor of Galvestons early days and architecture. Located on the same grounds as the Children’s museum, there is something for everyone to enjoy! Moody Mansion

You’ll love our farmers market! Everyone is warm and friendly! You’ll find great food, gifts, live music, and fun! Galvestons Own Farmers Market

We have spent hours and hours perfectly content playing at the Galveston children’s museum. If you have young children, definitely check it out. It’s not overly large so it’s very easy to keep track of multiple children and actually let loose and play too! Galveston Children's Museum

One of the many joys of staying in an Airbnb vs a hotel is having the option to cook! At Katie’s you can get fresh caught local fish daily! You may even catch them feeding the pelicans! It’s worth a stop even if you don’t plan on buying.

The Galveston ferry leads to The Bolivar Peninsula (which is a fun place to check out in itself). I wouldn’t recommend getting in line during the summer unless you go first thing in the morning because of the wait time but if you plan a trip to one of bolivars lovely beaches or you plan to just take a ride during the winter months it’s the perfect way to see dolphins, for free!
